The cumulative incidence continues to decline (46) and Madrid goes to low risk (48) | Society

The Ministry of Health has published this Monday the update of the figures of infections, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in Spain and, with respect to Friday’s report, the total number of people infected by COVID-19 has increased by 3,829, so the National total of infected already rises to 4,977,448 people since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, Health has reported 49 new deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 infection with respect to Friday’s data, which brings the official death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 86,827.

Regarding the cumulative incidence nationwide in 14 days, the figure has dropped another 2.1 points over the weekend to stand at 46.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In this way, Spain remains at low risk for coronavirus.

With 1,942 people admitted (194 less than on Friday), the hospital occupancy fell slightly this Monday to 1.60% while the occupancy in the ICU, where 507 patients remain (43 less than on Friday), stands at 5 , 55%.

123,000 vaccinations over the weekend

The Ministry of Health has also reported that Spain has administered 123,069 vaccines over the weekend, bringing the total number of doses administered to 70,822,813.

The number of people who have received at least one dose rises to 37,815,635 people, representing 79.7% of the population (89.8% of the target population). In addition, the number of people who have received the complete vaccination schedule reaches 36,937,743, that is, 77.8% of the population (87.5% of the target population).
