Recently, Opel launched a new logo, or rather an update of the previous one. It will be launched during the autumn motor show in Munich, where they will also offer a “surprise that will delight the visitors”, according to Opel CEO Florian Huettl.
Now they release so-called teaser images of the concept car to be shown and also present its name: Opel Experimental. The images show, in addition to the logo, a variety of angles and details with the brand’s new design language, even though the “Bold and Pure” philosophy was already launched with the GT X Experimental concept car almost five years ago. In any case, the Opel Experimental should give us an idea of how the shape of future models might look.
– Opel Experimental marks the beginning of a new chapter for our brand. It was shaped to give a concrete vision of where Opel is going. We will reveal more details soon – so stay tuned, says Opel CEO Florian Huettl.
Although the press release does not mention anything about powertrains, we can say with the greatest certainty that it is about electric drive. Stellantis, the group to which Opel belongs, recently presented a new electric car platform called STLA Medium intended for electric cars in the C and D segments. We’re betting that this is what will be under the skin of the Opel Experimental.
