This film narrates the journey of Christian Vitry to the summit of a lost world. High altitude anthropologist and director of the Qhapaq Ñan program, in 1999 he was part of the expedition that extracted the Children of Llullaillaco from the volcano. The finding had a great global impact, as well as a huge social impact on the communities in the area. Before starting the ascent, Vitry and his team must ask permission in Tolar Grande, the closest Kolla community to the base of the volcano, to look for a possible answer to an old question, how do we relate to a sacred mountain?
