She was 22 years young when Monica Lewinsky 1995 had an affair with Bill Clinton received. At that time she was working as an intern at White house, he was the President of the United States.

“He had a dangerous charm”

“I was captivated by him, like many others were,” she remembers in an interview with “People” magazine. “He had charisma, a dangerous charm, and it was exhilarating. We think we’re in our early 20s on this solid ground. We think we know everything, and yet we’re actually in this quicksand.”

More than 25 years have passed since the affair that started in 1995. During that time, Monica Lewinsky went into hiding. After the scandal, she became a target for many Americans. With the help of therapies, her family and friends, she was able to process what she had experienced. The director is now active as an anti-bullying activist.

She keeps her private life out of the public eye today. “I have a feeling that if someone has the right to keep their love life private, then I am,” she tells the magazine.

You have dates, she continues. The relationships that she leads are “very valuable” to her, including those that ultimately failed. “I learned a lot.” But she is not married. “I don’t know if that’s going to happen or not and I’m more comfortable with it than I used to be.”
