In broad daylight, at the beginning of August, the Swedish-Kosovan Arber Zeneli was on his way and played an away match with his Stade de Reims.
When the match was over, it was time for the former Elfsborg player to return home together with his teammate Valon Berisha, with whom he lives. But once they got home, the apartment didn’t look like it did when they left it.
Exposed to burglary
Footballers’ homes have become a target for thieves. Earlier this summer, PSG player Gianluigi Donnarumma and his wife were tied up and held at gunpoint during a burglary at their home.
But this time the thieves had their sights set on another French team, reports Le Parisien.
Arber Zeneli and Valon Berisha discovered as soon as they got home that their home had been broken into. They quickly noticed that they were missing seven expensive watches, 2 expensive bags and a mobile phone. In total, the robbers are said to have come across stolen goods worth more than 350,000 euros, a little more than 4 million kroner.
The soccer players’ neighbor allegedly saw two perpetrators fleeing the apartment in a black vehicle.
