This Thursday, July 15, the Ordinary General Assembly of the acb was held, which for the first time took place at the headquarters of the Higher Sports Council.
Jose Manuel Franco, President of the CSD, has received the clubs and Albert Soler, Director General of the CSD, has explained to all the leaders the aid allocated by the CSD to the clubs due to the accumulated losses due to the absence of public in the pavilions and the costs of the diagnostic tests for Covid-19 due to the pandemic. As explained by the CSD, the aid announced to the acb clubs will be up to eight million euros.
Antonio Martin, President of the acb, has wanted “To thank the Higher Sports Council, and especially José Manuel Franco and Albert Soler, both for the invitation to host the Assembly at their headquarters and for the sensitivity they have shown with the clubs”.
The clubs have also agreed to the admission of Río Breogán (Club Baloncesto Breogán SAD) as a member of the acb, and have approved the calendar of dates for the 2021-22 season.
The season will begin on September 11 and 12 with the Endesa Super Cup and will continue a week later, on September 18 and 19, with the start of the Endesa League.
The Copa del Rey 2022 will be held between February 17 and 20 and from there the final stretch of the second round will begin until the conclusion of the Regular League on May 15. Then the fight for the title will begin, which recovers the usual format of quarterfinals to three games and semifinals and final to the best of five, and will be played between May 17 and at most June 26.
