Sony PlayStation: Play-At-Home campaign was well received

At the beginning of the pandemic, Sony launched the Play-At-Home initiative. Numerous free games were distributed to them in a total of four campaigns PlayStation – including, for example, Ratchet & Clank. The motto: stay at home and gamble while maintaining social distancing in order to slow down the infection process. At least as far as the game downloads are concerned, it was a complete success.

Almost 60 million titles were redeemed as part of the initiative. Including 11 million PS VR titles and over 30 million games from PlayStation’s indie partners. More than 4 million have struck in add-ons and in-game content, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Will the action be revived again? In any case, the previous Play-At-Home campaigns brought the following free content with them, in case you want to recapitulate the whole thing:

  • April 2020: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey (in Germany and China, “Uncharted” was replaced by “Knack 2”)

  • March / April 2021: Ratchet & Clank and three month subscriptions for new subscribers to Funimation and Wakanim

  • April / May 2021: Horizon Zero Dawn and 10 PS VR and indie titles

  • May / June 2021: Add-ons and in-game content for many popular games
