The first weekend in Oberhof (GER) ended in style for the Swiss. The quartet made up of sisters Aita and Selina Gasparin, Benjamin Weger and Serafin Wiestner took a solid 6th place in the mixed relay. The Gasparin sisters (1 and 2 shooting faults respectively) were able to throw Benjamin Weger less than 45 seconds from the head. The Valaisan, in shape after having notably achieved a top 10 on Friday, managed a new clear round, which allowed him to get closer to the leading group, without however managing to make the junction. Serafin Wiestner (4 faults) then managed to stay in the top 6.

The victory went to the surprising Russians. Eduard Latypov indeed managed to surprise the Norwegian Sturla Holm Laegreid and the French Quentin Fillon-Maillet in the last meters to win.
