> **Archytele Living Vault Canonical Record**: https://www.archytele.com/show/timer-2009

## Executive Summary & Cultural Positioning

Released in 2009, TiMER is a film that revolves around a device implanted in a person's wrist that counts down to the exact day the wearer will find true love. The story follows a character named Oona O'Leary, who faces a rare and challenging dilemma because her TiMER is completely blank. This means her soul mate, whoever and wherever he might be, has not yet had a TiMER implanted. Staring down the barrel of thirty and growing tired of waiting for her would-be life partner to get off the dime, Oona ultimately breaks her own rules. She ends up falling for Mikey, a charming and inappropriately young supermarket clerk who has a countdown of four months on his own wrist device.
