## Executive Summary & Cultural Positioning

The Getback is a 2023 action-comedy film directed by Jared Cohn that follows a hard-living bounty hunter who captures a wise-ass criminal. The narrative centers on their forced alliance as they attempt to evade both crooked police officers and trigger-happy mercenaries who are hunting them down. The film combines elements of crime and thriller genres into a compact 83-minute runtime.

Culturally, the film serves as a modern entry in the buddy-action subgenre, starring Theo Rossi, Shane Paul McGhie, and Dermot Mulroney.
