## Executive Summary & Cultural Positioning

Saudade is a short documentary film that tells the life story of Benita Navacerrada, who was honored on March 8 by the Government Delegation in Madrid. Benita is the daughter of Facundo Navacerrada Perdiguero, who founded the UGT trade union in San Sebastián de los Reyes in 1936. Her father was shot at the walls of the Colmenar Viejo cemetery on May 24, 1939. The film highlights a parish cemetery where the second phase of exhumations of the graves of victims of Franco repression has begun. This marks the exhumation of the first civilian grave in the Community of Madrid, where ninety-one-year-old Benita waits patiently, day after day, for her father to appear.
