## Season Architecture & Lore Primers

### Season 1 (16 Episodes)
My ID is Gangnam Beauty follows Kang Mi‑rae, a young woman whose school years were marked by relentless bullying because of her appearance. The trauma leaves her insecure, overly cautious around others, and socially withdrawn. Seeking a fresh start, Mi‑rae elects to undergo plastic surgery, hoping the change will free her from past humiliation. When she begins university, she encounters Do Kyeong‑seok, a former classmate who has learned to judge people by their inner qualities rather than outward looks. Kyeong‑seok becomes attracted to Mi‑rae, yet she soon finds herself subjected to new teasing, this time under the nickname “Gangnam Beauty,” a reference to her surgically‑enhanced looks. Despite his cold and aloof exterior, Kyeong‑seok consistently defends Mi‑rae, offering her a rare source of support. Through his steadfast kindness, Mi‑rae gradually rebuilds her self‑esteem and comes to understand that genuine beauty resides in one’s character rather than physical appearance. The series explores themes of self‑acceptance, societal pressure regarding beauty standards, and the impact of superficial judgments on personal identity.
