## Executive Summary & Cultural Positioning

Freddie As F.R.O.7. is a 1992 British animated musical action fantasy comedy film written and directed by Jon Acevski, also known in North America as Freddie the Frog. The film follows Frederick, a young medieval French prince with magical powers who is transformed into a frog by his evil sorceress aunt after she kills his father to seize the throne. Saved by the Loch Ness Monster and hiding with a colony of anthropomorphic frogs, the prince ultimately decides to accept his fate, grows to human size, travels to the future, and acts as a James Bond parody secret agent with a sentient car to stop an evil plot involving disappearing buildings in England.

The film stars the voices of Ben Kingsley, Jenny Agutter, David Ashton, and Brian Blessed. It runs for 1 hour and 27 minutes, carrying a PG rating in the United States and released on August 28, 1992. Inspired by bedtime stories the director told his son about a favourite toy frog, it blends medieval royal tragedy with futuristic espionage and musical numbers.
