Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The Baden-Württemberg SPD chairman Andreas Stoch has again sharply attacked Minister of Education Susanne Eisenmann (CDU) because of her corona crisis management around school and daycare openings. “In my opinion, it failed completely,” said Stoch to the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” (Monday). The minister made the cardinal mistake of not sitting down at the table with those affected, said Stoch in an interview with the newspaper. “She cannot be Minister of Education and Culture – and therefore also not Prime Minister,” he said about the CDU top candidate for the upcoming state elections.
Stoch called for the introduction of alternating lessons. “It works, especially with older students. Ideally, alternating daily: a day at school, a day at home – digitally supported.” The opening of daycare centers and primary schools was canceled at short notice last week due to the corona mutation in a Freiburg daycare center.
