Roger Federer loses Masters record to Feliciano López

After his record for the most Grand Slam tournament appearances in a row (78 participations), the Spaniard set the next long-running record in Indian Wells.

With his 139th Masters tournament, López temporarily took the lead, but Federer plans to continue playing after his rehab and thus has the chance to regain the record.

Behind the two 40-year-olds are Fernando Verdasco (129), David Ferrer and Rafael Nadal (123 each).
