Richarlison’s show kicks off Brazil’s 2022 World Cup – Football World – World Cup

Brazil beat Serbia 2:0 in their first match at the 2022 World Cup. Richarlison became a hero for the Seleção of Lusail Iconic. The striker opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, and in the 73rd minute he scored a phenomenal goal, with which he shaped the final score.

At no time did the South Americans leave any doubts about their superiority, especially in the second half. It was then that they scored both of their goals, and also hit the post twice through Alex Sandro and Casemiro. Serbia rarely threatened Alisson and will be hoping for a better performance against Cameroon and Switzerland, the other two teams in Group G.

The first more interesting action of the match was in the 5th minute when Strahinja Pavlovic fouled Neymar badly, for which he received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, the Brazilians were awarded a corner kick. Neymar faked the ball, which went under the bar in the near corner, but Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was able to tap in another corner. In the following minutes, “Seleção” continued to attack, but never created dangerous situations in front of the Serbian goal.

In the 21st minute, Casemiro tried an ambitious shot from a long distance, which did not hinder the guard of the “white eagles”. Six minutes later, Thiago Silva unleashed a great delivery pass from deep for Vinicius. The striker found himself face to face with Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, but the goalkeeper was faster and managed to clear the ball just in front of the Real Madrid player.

In the 35th minute, Brazil organized a great multi-pronged attack. Tite’s graduates checked the Serbian defense with one touch each, with Lukas Paquette finding Rafinha in the penalty area. The winger was left uncovered, but from ten meters he shot weakly and did not trouble Vanja Milinković-Savic.

In the 41st minute, Casemiro tried to bring Vinicius from the left, and Nikola Milenkovic, in his attempt to clear, gave the ball to the attacker. Vinny entered the penalty area and fired a shot but missed the goal.

The Barcelona winger took a shot from about 12 meters, but Milinkovic-Savic saved. In the 50th minute, Nemanja Gudel fouled Neymar, who was rushing into the penalty area, on the border.
