Forward Radamel Falcao García landed in Madrid after the triple knockout date with the Colombian National Team. He could debut next week with Rayo Vallecano against Getafe.
The Colombian arrived in the Spanish capital hours after the tri-color 3-1 victory against Chile in Barranquilla. He played 12 minutes and immediately set off for his new destination for this season.
He posed with a club scarf and had a few words with the waiting journalists. “Very happy,” he said in passing.
Rayo Vallecano will visit Levante this Saturday for the fourth date. Everything indicates that his debut will be next week with a home game against Getafe.
President Raúl Martín Presa was very appreciative of the signing of the Colombian, remembered in Spain for his goals with Atlético.
“From my point of view we are talking, together with Hugo Sánchez and Pelé, one of the three best spikers in the history of football,” said the coach.
