Barcelona considers it “an environmental attack”
The Barcelona City Council has rejected Aena’s project to expand the El Prat airport, because it is an “environmental attack”, and has accused the Government of having “lied” by ensuring that the works on this infrastructure would not be done at the cost of damaging the ecosystem.
In statements to TV3, the Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning of the Barcelona City Council, Janet Sanz, has warned that it is “an environmental attack on a very important metropolitan area”, committed with an expansion project full, in her opinion, of “lies, opacity and secrecy”.
