President Cezary Kulesza breaks the silence. What next for Michniewicz?

Michał Białoński, Interia: Mr President, the whole of Poland is waiting for an answer to the question, what next with the coach Czesław Michniewicz?

Cezary Kulesza, PZPN president: We will return to the country, there will be time for analysis, let’s wait patiently. You won’t have to wait long. Today we return to the country.

Are you more pleased with the promotion to the 1/8 finals of the World Cup, awaited for over 36 years, or do you regret the lost chance for the quarter-finals?

“As we saw from the game against France, we created a 100% chance to score. We don’t know what would have happened had the goal been scored. They would attack and we could afford to play on the counter. This match could have gone differently. But we lost and we feel unsatisfied because on that day France was unbeatable.

After the era of Boniek and Smolarek, however, we won a promotion.

– We left the group, the goal was achieved, but as they say – the appetite grows while eating.
