Pravasi Sahithyotsav Grand Finale on December 10

Doha | The grand finale of the Pravasi Sahithyotsav will be held on December 10. The Grand Finale is also the culmination of a thousand literary festivals in the Gulf over the past three months. A total of 462 contestants, who have excelled at the unit, sector, central and national levels through 15,000 preliminary registrations, will compete in the grand finale in 50 events.

Contestants will compete in eight studios across six countries in the categories of Mappilappattu, Sufi, Qawwali, Magazine Design, Speech, Story and Poetry. The control room will be centralized in Qatar. Teams from Saudi East, UAE, Saudi West, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain will compete in the grand finale of the Pravasi Literary Festival. As part of the festival, a literature festival, a book fair, a college award, a history seminar, a poster design and a quiz competition were organized.

The matches will start at 7 am Makkah time. It will be inaugurated by Syed Ibrahimul Khalil Al Bukhari. Poet Sachchidanandan will inaugurate the cultural meet to be held at 7 pm. Writer KP Ramanunni will be the chief guest. The closing session at 9 pm will be inaugurated by Indian Grand Mufti Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliar. The winners of the competition will be announced at the ceremony.

The organizers said that the festival aims to add color to the minds of art and literature during the period of closure and to keep the characters alive in the age of hatred. The Pravasi Sahithyotsav Organizing Committee informed that the preparations have been completed under the guidance of specially trained technicians and the audience will be able to watch the programs live through
