If all adults have had the chance to get their corona shots, only fully vaccinated people should be allowed access to public places such as cafes and festivals, according to a survey by EenVandaag.
The current affairs program conducted research among 15,000 members of the EenVandaag Opinion Panel. Of the participants, 83 percent have already been vaccinated or are planning to get the injection. 14 percent certainly or probably do not want to be vaccinated. They are almost without exception (98 percent) against restricting access for the unvaccinated.
There is no vaccination obligation in the Netherlands, but you can also go to events or on holiday with a negative test or proof that you have had corona. Now that the delta variant leads to many infections, there is a discussion whether full vaccination should be mandatory for access to non-essential places.
Many vaccinated people do like this, the research shows. They believe that people who do not want to be vaccinated are not taking responsibility for containing the pandemic and leaving others to pay for the consequences.
