The new expansion of Pokémon Sword & Shield, The Crown Tundra, will be available next week. Nintendo had dedicated a long video to show the news, of which the return of legendary creatures attracted more attention. If you’re excited about this, there is good news, as it was revealed today that the capture of these creatures will be guaranteed.
Through the most recent episode of Pokénchi, an official Japanese channel of Pokémon (via Serebii), The Pokémon Company revealed interesting details of the game mechanics in relation to obtaining the legendary creatures of previous generations.
As already revealed weeks before, players will have to challenge these characters to catch them and for this it will be necessary to enter fortresses where there will be powerful Pokémon and today it was announced that the final confrontation with the legendary Pokémon will provide 100% effectiveness in the capture; that is, there will be no way for it to escape.
In case you missed it: Game Freak warned that it would fix a Pokémon HOME hack issue and Pokémon Sword & Shield.
Getting to the legendary Pokémon will be a challenge
However, before Trainers can take on the legendary creatures, it will be necessary to defeat 3 Pokémon in their Dynamax form. After defeating one, the trainer will have to choose which way he will take in the lair, which will have a kind of maze.
Something interesting is that it will be somewhat difficult to get to the legendary Pokémon, because the damage, (health points, HP) and movement points (PP) will be preserved after each battle. However, along the way, players will be able to find items and characters that will heal their Pokémon. Another important detail is that the player can only catch the legendary Pokémon only once.
