The Oviedo City Council reinforces the surveillance and control tasks in the city with the incorporation of 35 new agents in the Local Police who have taken office this morning at the El Rubín garrison.
During the presentation ceremony of the new agents, the Councilor for Citizen Security, Jose Ramon Prado, took stock of the police actions during this weekend and gave an account of several bottles that took place in the capital. The most massive was held in the Winter Park and, in addition, the Local Police also had to intervene in different private parties organized in flats and premises.
In addition, this weekend there was a fight in the Antiguo that ended with two men being treated at the HUCA after being stabbed by a 41-year-old man. To fight against this type of event, the City Council of the capital will place control cameras throughout the historic center of the city. They will be located in strategic areas that will provide panoramic images of the party areas and surroundings. The new additions to the police workforce will also increase the number of agents who will patrol the streets on surveillance tasks.
