Quebec striker of the Anaheim Ducks Maxime Comtois will have to be absent for a few weeks due to a hand injury that required surgery.
The Californian team confirmed on Friday that the 22-year-old had a small bone removed in his right hand the day before and that he will be out of the game for a period of six weeks.
The Ducks surprise early in the season, with a 10-5-3 record, good for 23 points in 18 games and third in the Pacific Division. However, it is quite the opposite for Comtois, who is slow to regain his form for the 2020-2021 campaign, during which he had amassed 33 points in 55 games. In 13 games this season, the Longueuil native has blackened the scoresheet only once, in addition to maintaining a differential of -3.
In addition, the Ducks sent Benoit-Olivier Groulx in the American League, with the San Diego Gulls. In 15 games in Anaheim this season, the Quebecer has amassed three points.
