Real Madrid has received one of the best possible news, such as the entrance of the public to the football and basketball venues, and ensures “normality” for the beginning of next season by removing the article that restricted access, as reported by Carolina Darias.
The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, announced this Thursday that article 15.2 of the Law of the ‘New Normality’, the article that affected the entry of spectators into sports venues, is abolished:
“We delete this article and return to normality in terms of the influx of public to the stadiums of the Professional Football League, for the start of LaLiga and also of the ACB”.
This is formidable news for the economies of the teams that had seen a large part of their income vanish due to the absence of their fans in the sports venues, in the case of Real Madrid, both at the Santiago Bernabéu and at the Wizink Center.
The Minister of Health also highlighted it: “I am convinced that it is news that is going to be very well accepted for all sports and for this country.”
Therefore, Real Madrid will have to work tirelessly to enable the Santiago Bernabéu for the start of LaLiga, although as we already announced in Central Defense, the club has asked to play the first three away days.
“In the case of the Professional Soccer League and the ACB Basketball League, the competent administration for the application of the provisions of the previous section will be the Superior Sports Council, after consulting the organizer of the competition, the Ministry of Health and the Autonomous Communities. Decisions adopted by said body will take care of health circumstances as a priority, as well as the need to protect both athletes and citizens attending sports activities and competitions “.
This article was included in Royal Decree-Law 21/2020 on urgent measures of urgent prevention, containment and coordination measures to face the health crisis caused by COVID-19.
