National 1: last match of the season for Blanzat Montluçon (7th) at La Motte-Servolex (4th)

“To play a big match together, like the one last week”. This is the ambition of the handball players from Blanzat Sport Montluçon (Allier), who will end their National 1 women’s season this Saturday May 14 (8:30 p.m.) in La Motte-Servolex (Savoie). “Without taking the lead and having fun”, adds Franck Arbonville, who will coach them for the last time. After a week of training, “where they worked well, in a good atmosphere”.

The context

For this trip to the 4th in the group (with 63 pts), the Blanzatoises (7th, with 48 pts) do not expect an easy game. Especially since the Savoyard players won 30-20 in January during the first leg.

“La Motte-Servolex is a very good team, with an atypical game, which evolves with two pivots”, underlines Franck Arbonville, who, with two exceptions, will lead the same group which dominated Bourg-de-Péage, Saturday last, at the Sports Hall. “Following a big match, in a big atmosphere”, he likes to recall.

Indeed, Okabandé left for Congo, in order to play the final stages of the championship, with his former club. As for Vargas, she is about to leave the club. Consider a group of eleven players.

The Blanzat Montluçon group: Horvat (g), Hudry (g), Marty, Enjalbert, Ékobo, Kanté, Tomic, O. Braud, A. Braud, Kyriklidou, Fiafialoto.

For its last home game of the season, Montluçon beat Bourg-de-Péage (36-29) last Saturday [08/05/2022]
