The actor Michael Constantine, known from the comedy film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, is dead. Constantine died last week at the age of 94 in his home state of Pennsylvania, reported numerous US media today, citing his family and his spokesman .
Constantine, who had two children, had been an actor since the 1950s and won an Emmy, among other things.
He celebrated his breakthrough in 2002 in the comedy “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, in which he played a Greek family patriarch. “Acting with him brought you a storm of love and fun,” wrote the film’s leading actress, Nia Vardalos, on the short message service Twitter. “He brought us so much joy and now deserves a rest.”
