Mortgages: how to negotiate properly

There are many ways to throw money out the window. Giving it to the banks is not the most pleasurable. And yet quite a few owners do it – because it’s convenient. Three out of four are not negotiating their mortgage, says Kay Foerschle of the Comparis subsidiary Hypoplus. And others not right. “Many are satisfied with a discount of 0.2 percentage points, although more would be possible,” observes Florian Schubiger, head of the mediation platform.
