So far, the mehrKlang-Ensemble has appeared in Rödermark and the surrounding area with concerts in churches and spiritual programs. The pandemic has encouraged singers and choirs to “rethink”. The best form for a concert at the moment is “open air”.

Most of the rehearsals are outdoors, so we are well prepared for an “open air” performance. The opera “Dido and Aeneas” by Henry Purcell will be heard. All singers are singing students of Mathias Schlachter. The solo and choral parts are performed with their own strength; this means that the opera is not performed in the usual style. The solos are also changed within the piece, the whole opera is a student concert. The content of the opera is told within the performance.
The mehrKlang-Ensemble is accompanied on the piano by Eunyoung Kim, the musical direction is Mathias Schlachter.

The pandemic does not allow normal seating. For this reason it was decided to make the dress rehearsal public in order to give more listeners the opportunity to enjoy this concert.

The dress rehearsal will begin on Friday, September 17th at 6 p.m., the performance will be on Saturday, September 18, also at 6 p.m. If you are unable to attend both dates and still want to listen, you can do so on Sunday, September 19, at 5 p.m. in Darmstadt, Im Niederfeld 8. The place of performance on Friday and Saturday is the parking lot at Senefelderstrasse 10. The 3G rules apply, personal data is recorded in writing.

Admission is free, donations are requested. Tickets can be booked at the following address: pretix.eu/diesekultur/operroedermark and [email protected] Tickets for Darmstadt: afkv.info/mehrklang-trifft-oper.
