Mohamed Ehab announces that he won the silver in the Rio Olympics after being suspended

Mohamed Ehab, the Egyptian weightlifting champion, announced that he won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, after the Court of Sports decided today, Tuesday, to suspend the Kazakh weightlifter Nagat Rahimov, who won the gold in the 77-kilogram weight at the time.

And Ehab wrote, through his accounts on social networking sites today: “Praise be to God, and my success is only by God… Glory be to God, who manages the matter from above seven heavens… The Tokyo Olympics are lost for no reason, and God brings the silver to the Rio Olympics without a request… Today the Court of Arbitration for Sports announced the day Tuesday, March 22, 2022 Kazakh weightlifter Negat Rahimov, who won gold in the 77-kg category at the 2016 Rio Olympics, has been banned for eight years for doping and will be stripped of his medal.

Mohamed Ehab won the bronze medal in weightlifting at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
