With two goals from Lionel Messi and Killian Mbape, Paris Saint-Germain achieved a resounding success with 4: 1 against the Belgian champion Bruges in the last match for both teams from the group stage of the Champions League. In addition to Messi’s goals, the Parisians scored two more goals – Killian Mbape, who actually scored the first goals of “Parc des Princes”.
The success did not change anything for both teams, as PSG remained second with 11 points, one behind the first Manchester City, while Bruges was last with four points. The Belgians could fight with the third RB Leipzig for the third place, but they failed and the Germans finished with seven points after a success over the leader from England.
The final distribution of this group means that Man City will face a second, qualified team from the others in the 1/8 finals, while PSG will meet the leader of the group and is not placed.
Paris opened the scoring after 72 minutes of play. Killian Mbape and Nuno Mendes played on the left, and the left back made an insidious cross, which Simone Mignolet boxed. The problem for the Belgian guard was that the ball went to Killian Mbape, who made 1: 0 with a technical shot. Three minutes later, Di Maria led Giorginio Vainaldum to the shooting position, but the Dutchman’s shot was parried by Mignolet.
In the seventh minute, the home team played in the middle through Mbape, Vainaldum and Di Maria. It was the Argentine winger who gave a wonderful leading cross for the already moving forward Mbape and the French striker from the air finished – 2: 0.
Four minutes later, De Ketelere received an assist, but Donaruma stopped him. In the counterattack, Leo Messi combined with his compatriot Angel Di Maria, but Mignolet performed well here, as his Italian counterpart in the previous attack, and prevented a third goal in his own goal. In the 16th, Marquinhos played with his head to the right in the penalty area of Bruges and combined with Idrissa Gay, who tried to finish with scissors, but shot inaccurately.
In the 24th minute Hans Vanaken passed to De Ketelere in the penalty area of Paris and the striker shot, but Donaruma with his foot parried the blow of the striker of the “blue-black”. In the 32nd minute Mignolet and Stanley Nsoki closed a diagonal shot of Leo Messi and the ball went into a corner kick. Minutes later, Messi broke through the middle of the field and technically shot on the ground to the opposite corner of Mignolet, but the Belgian with one hand stopped the ball.
Seven before the end, Mbape combined with Lionel Messi, who advanced and forced the Bruges defenders to retreat. Messi feints Mats Rits and with a technical performance overcame Mignolet – 3: 0.

A minute before the end, Killian Mbape was brought behind the defense of Bruges by Leo Messi. Mbape took control and shot, but inaccurately, and at the same time Hendry made a split against the player, who received some pain in the shoulder area.
At the beginning of the second half Bruges tried to return at least one goal, but shots by Noah Lang, Charles De Ketelare and Hans Vanaken in the first 15 minutes were either inaccurate or saved by guard Donaruma.
In the 65th minute, the Parisians reminded of themselves. After an individual action of Angel Di Maria, the Argentine shot from a small angle, but the ball went past the door of Bruges. Only three minutes later, the Belgian champion still scored an honorable goal, and its author was Mats Rits.
In the 76th minute, however, PSG woke up again and in the 76th minute the hosts were given the right to execute a penalty. Leo Messi stood behind the ball and scored for 4: 1. This was the last interesting moment of the match and Paris took the three points against their Belgian opponent.
