Former Real Madrid footballer Marcelo, who now plays for Fluminense, inflicted a terrible injury on an opponent in a Copa Libertadores match. He broke the leg of the Argentinos Juniors footballer. According to local media, the recovery of the injured player will take about a year.

Marcelo’s previous club was Olympiacos. The Brazilian has been playing for the Greek team since September 2022. He moved to the club from Real Madrid. For Olympiacos, the Brazilian played 10 matches in which he scored three goals. Marcelo is a five-time Champions League winner (in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022) with Real Madrid. With the Brazilian national team, the footballer won the Confederations Cup in 2013.

For the main team of Fluminense, the player played from 2005 to 2006, playing 30 matches, after which he moved to Real Madrid.
