Mainfranken: test capacities expanded at the end of the holiday

The new school year begins in around a week, and many students are returning to class after six weeks of summer vacation. At the end of the holiday, the health authorities in the region appeal to all students to get tested again. That is why the city of Würzburg and the districts are expanding the corona test capacities from Friday.

Accordingly, in Test center Significantly more PCR tests are offered on the Talavera for three days. Instead of the normal 2,800 appointments, there are now 5,000 up to and including Monday. An appointment can here

Beside it also fit Pharmacies, private providers and aid organizations
their capacities – around 7,000 rapid antigen tests are offered every day in the city and district of Würzburg. There is an overview of all test options here.

Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Würzburg-Heuchelhof, Wendeplatz Römer Straße

An appointment is not necessary. Further plans for the use of the test bus in the second half of September are in progress.

That Bavarian Red Cross also offers special dates for rapid tests at the end of the holiday. These are available at the test stations in Kürnach, Rottendorf, Thüngersheim, Veitshöchheim and Waldbüttelbrunn on Monday, September 13th. Appointments can be booked online.

Districts of Kitzingen and Main-Spessart

In Kitzingen, the rapid test center on Marshall Heights is expanding its opening hours. Up to and including Monday, tests are carried out there from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The test center in Gemünden is also expanding its test capacities.
