Luke Shaw praises Cristiano Ronaldo on Manchester United – Man United and Transfer News

Manchester United star Luke Shaw has commented on what it’s like to have Cristiano Ronaldo back at the club and how that has affected him and his teammates.

The Portuguese superstar moved to Old Trafford in a surprise transfer that caught the world’s attention.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pounced on Ronaldo when it became clear that Juventus had put him up for sale.

United fans were delighted to welcome their former hero back and it’s safe to say he has given his club career a huge boost.

Ronaldo has managed to score five goals in seven games despite having struggled with Solskjaer recently.

According to talkSPORT, Shaw said, “He definitely raised the bar. I think there is no doubt that he has been one of the best players in the world for the past decade.

“The way he behaves, the standards he sets and the way he thinks are some of the best I’ve seen.

“For us as teammates, it’s only good to be surrounded by someone who just raises the bar. We have to follow that. Everywhere he goes he wins, and that’s why – because the standards he sets are so high.

“We have to meet these standards and go in the right direction with him and as a team.

“I didn’t have to mark it yet. But he’s very lively, always in the right position to score goals, and his moves are some of the best I’ve seen.

“It’s no surprise he scores, and has been for many years, because he’s always in the right place at the right time.

“It’s the mark of a world class player. “

Shaw isn’t the only star player for Manchester United as many of his teammates were delighted with Ronaldo’s arrival.

The versatile striker has been a striker since his return, with Solskjaer clearly preferring him to other talents.

Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood are all capable of appearing in the Post but were not the main cast for various reasons.

Cavani has only just returned to his prime and the same can be said of Rashford, while Martial was out of shape and Greenwood enjoyed success on the right wing.

Ronaldo has already done what Solskjaer hoped to raise the squad level.
