San Casciano a Vico (LU), 4 September 2021 – In the first joint training of their pre-season, played this afternoon, Saturday 4 September 2021 on the sports field of San Casciano in Vico (LU), the first team of the Parma Feminine yields 5-2 with the hosts of Lucchese who will take part to the next Serie C championship. Despite the difference in category – the Tuscans, among other things, have high-ranking ambitions – the team of Mister Ilenia Nicoli imposes the dominance of the game for most of the first half, suffering the goal of the 1-0, at the best moment, for a defensive distraction, at the first opposing opportunity. Without disuniting, the Crusades continue to grind the game, keeping the clean sheet until the end of the first fraction (duration 35 ‘plus 2’ of recovery). In the second half, the ducal coach changed the game system from 3-4-1-2 in the first half to 4-3-3 in the second. The opponents, however, manage to reach 3-0, but the yellow and blue, with stubbornness, shorten the distance at 28 ‘st: Lucrezia Baffi’s assist for Beatrice Parizzi who overtakes with one digging overtakes the opposing goalkeeper. Shortly after the Lucchese scores the fourth goal, but Capitan Debora Fragni shortens with a shot from outside at 35 ‘st (4-2) Shortly before the end (the second half lasted 40’ plus 3 ‘recovery) the whites sign the fifth marking for a score (5-2) too severe for what is actually seen on the field.
At the end, this is the comment of Mister Ilenia Nicoli, interviewed by Gabriele Majo, Head of the Press and Communication Office of the Youth Sector and Women’s Teams of Parma Calcio 1913:
“It is clear that we never like losing, but we take the opportunity to try to correct the mistakes that have been made, but I also want to see the many positive things we have created. The girls, from the point of view of attitude, on a character level, have never given up, and this is also a great thing. We went into physical difficulty a bit, as it is normal for us to be at this point of the season playing with a team of a higher league than ours, but this shouldn’t be an excuse. We had four or five missing elements so I couldn’t make all the changes I wanted to make to make room for those who trained well this week, and I’m sorry for the girls who weren’t there today. having said that, however, I am very happy: we did some good phrasing, we had some good ideas, we tried different game systems, adapting to the characteristics of the girls, between the first and the second half. In the second half I made two medians go up, changing the system: the game ideas were there, so I’m happy. Unfortunately, their first goal was the result of an individual error that can arise and is there but we must go and correct it immediately, trying to make the girls understand what the dynamics are, especially in one-on-one, in a situation like this. I repeat: I don’t want to look at the final result, even if I am very sorry to lose, but the important thing is to have seen that the girls tried to do what we proposed in training together with the staff ”.
