Loan growth at Volksbank – Titisee-Neustadt

No changes in the branch network.

. Volksbank Freiburg, which has branches in Titisee-Neustadt, Hinterzarten, Lenzkirch, St. Peter and St. Mrgen in the Upper Black Forest, is satisfied with the business development in this part of its area of activity. “The Upper Black Forest region has contributed to the good development of our company,” said Volksbank Management Board spokesman Uwe Barth on Monday at the presentation of the balance sheet for the 2020 financial year. The credit growth there made a solid contribution to the expansion of the business.

No problem children among hotel customers

Overall, the volume of loans granted at Volksbank grew by around 170 million euros or 7.6 percent to 2.46 billion euros in the course of 2020. The cooperative credit institute was also able to increase its operating result with a good 400 employees (BZ reported). “It was important for the hospitality industry and especially the hotel industry in the Black Forest to be open over the summer months, which enabled a relatively reasonable occupancy rate there,” said Barth. There are no “problem children” among the customers of the hotels in the Black Forest. The hotel industry in the city of Freiburg and its surroundings is more severely affected because the collapse of the congress and trade fair business has had a stronger impact. According to Barth, nothing should change in the branch network in the Upper Black Forest this year, as in the entire area of activity.
