Indonesian men’s doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin qualify for the round of 16 Thailand Masters 2023 after defeating Rasmus Kjaer/Frederik Sogaard via a rubber game at the Nimibutr National Stadium, Wednesday (1/2) morning WIB.
Leo/Daniel won after undergoing a tough duel that lasted 58 minutes with a score of 21-11, 18-21, 21-19.
Leo/Daniel put pressure on them right from the start of the first game. The Babies played a fast game that made them quickly gain points.

Leo/Daniel have won 10-6 over Kjaer/Sogaard. The next point can be won by Leo/Daniel to lead 11-6 in the first game interval.
Leo/Daniel became increasingly difficult to stop by the Danish pair after the interval. Kjaer/Sogaard had a hard time dealing with the aggressiveness of Leo/Daniel who could lead 15-7.
The mistakes that Kjaer/Sogaard often make also benefit Leo/Daniel. As a result, the fourth seeded pair was able to close the first game with a score of 21-11 in just 10 minutes.
In the second game, unexpectedly Kjaer/Sogaard won quickly 4-0. But that situation did not last long.
Leo/Daniel can quickly reverse the situation. Seven consecutive points were won by the Indonesian pair to turn around winning 7-4.
But Kjaer/Sogaard were able to find momentum again. Good defense and mistakes that are often made by Leo/Daniel allowed Kjaer/Sogaard to come back ahead and close the first game interval with a score of 11-9.
Leo/Daniel no longer repeats mistakes. They continued to put pressure on Kjaer/Sogaard to gain points and turned around to take a 16-13 lead.
Leo/Daniel couldn’t take advantage of that momentum. Kjaer/Sogaard even won with a score of 21-18.
Leo/Daniel continued to lag behind their opponents in the third game. Daniel’s frequent mistakes made it easier for Kjaer/Sogaard to gain points to lead 11-7 in the third game interval.
Leo/Daniel can improve after the interval. Leo/Daniel were able to continue to gain points to win 16-15 and finally won 21-19 in the third game.
