The 28-year-old goalkeeper has won the 2023 Nations League with Spain.
Kepa Arrizabalaga (Ondarroa, Vizcaya, 10/03/1994) is a new player of the Real Madrid. Our team is reinforced with a goalkeeper with international experience, who won the 2023 Nations League with the Spanish team and has played more than 100 Premier League games.
At 28 years old, Kepa joins the Real Madrid after playing five seasons at Chelsea, with whom he has won 1 Champions League1 Club World Cup1 European Super Cup y 1 Europa League. In the last campaign, he received the award for the best stop in the Premier League 2022-23. He has been international with Spain on 13 occasions and in the lower categories of the national team he won the European under-19 in 2012.
In 2004, at the age of 10, Kepa entered the Athletic Club academy and in 2012, when he was still in his youth, he began to form part of the first team squad. After two assignments, he consolidated himself in the Athletic squad, with which he made his debut in September 2016. In 2018 he signed for Chelsea, where he has played 163 games. Among them, the final of the Europa League 2018/19 won against Arsenal (4-1) or the European Super Cup achieved in 2021 against Villarreal. In that final, Kepa entered before the penalty shootout and was decisive, stopping two shots.
