K-pop: Blackpink’s “Ice Cream” music video exceeds 800 million views

SEOUL, Nov. 30 (Yonhap) — The music video for K-pop girl band Blackpink’s “Ice Cream” has surpassed 800 million views on YouTube, its promotion agency YG Entertainment reported Wednesday.

The video achieved the feat on Wednesday at 2:15 a.m., about two years and three months after its release in August 2020. The collaboration between Blackpink and Selena Gomez had debuted at number 13 on the Hot 100, the main singles chart of the American magazine Billboard. Blackpink now has a total of nine videos that have been viewed over 800 million times, including “Ddu-du Ddu-du”, “Kill This Love”, “Boombayah” and “As If It’s Your Last”.

The girl band, which has just completed its concerts in North America, will begin its tour of Europe with concerts in London on November 30 and December 1. He will give a total of 10 concerts in Europe, including Barcelona, ​​Cologne, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin and Amsterdam.
