Thai kudzu is banned from being used in food in Korea because it can cause side effects such as uterine hypertrophy due to the activation of female hormones. However, it is said that it can be used on a limited basis in Japan.

The products to be recalled are products imported and sold by Dongwoo CM (located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul) and Odlab Bio Co., Ltd. (located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul), and have expiration dates of February 2, 2025 and October 19, 2025.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, “We have taken measures to promptly recall the product,” and “consumers who purchased it should stop eating and return it to the place of purchase.”
