Last year, the youtuber MKBHD was the first to lift the veil on the design of the Nothing Phone (1). This year again, the English manufacturer has authorized him to unveil in video the new appearance du Phone (2), which is expected from July 11th.

However, this is not exactly the first time that we are entitled to a preview of the Nothing Phone (2). Leaker OnLeaks had already unveiled its design a few weeks ago now, but it finally turns out that a few elements differ from the previously shared renders. Moreover, the smartphone is already extensively tested in India, which has led to some leaks in recent days.

The Nothing Phone (2) is entitled to a new design

As MKBHD shows in his video, the Nothing Phone (2) is first entitled to a new color: gray. The manufacturer has also made changes to its Glyph system, these LEDs arranged on the back of the smartphone which have a very specific function for some of them. The LEDs are now cut into 11 different parts, compared to 5 on the previous model.

Nothing had revealed that it had partnered with Swedish House Mafia to allow you to create animations yourself with LEDs for your ringtonesso adding LEDs should make it even more creative.

One of the Nothing Phone LEDs (2) will be largely customizable, since it will let you follow timers, or act as a progress bar for the sound level of your smartphone. Third-party applications should also take advantage of this LED, including Uber, to indicate how far away your driver is.

Unlike the Nothing Phone (1), the second generation this time uses a punch in the middle of the screenas well as slightly more rounded glass on the back. There are still flat edges on the edges, but the smartphone should be more pleasant to hold. The screen also offers ever thinner black borderswhich should reinforce the premium aspect of the device.

Rather than drastically modifying the appearance of the smartphone, Nothing therefore focused on the software part and customization, which had been requested by many users. We can’t wait to try out all these new features for ourselves. See you on July 11 to find out more.
