OFFENBACH – The people in Hessen have to be prepared for inconsistent weather with thunderstorms and heavy rain in the coming days. Locally, it can rain up to 60 liters per square meter within a short time, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach on Tuesday. Hail and stormy gusts are also expected in parts of Hesse.
On Tuesday it rains like a shower, especially in the south and west. From the afternoon onwards, strong thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail and squalls spread in the north and west. The maximum values are between 26 degrees in the northeast with a little sun and 18 degrees with longer rain in the south.
In the night of Wednesday there were strong thunderstorms, especially in the northern half. Heavy rain is also possible here. The lowest temperatures are 17 to 12 degrees.
On Wednesday it can rain heavily for several hours. The temperatures in the afternoon are between 17 and 23 degrees.
