It is better not to use this soap if you do not want to attract mosquitoes

Everywhere you are you are completely pricked, while your partner does not count a single mosquito bite. Or the other way around. Mosquitoes do seem to have a preference for whom they bite, and that may be due to the soap you use. This is evident from new Research from America.

The study had four participants. Using the fabric they were wearing, the scientists at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University first looked at who had the most attractive odor for mosquitoes, and then tested whether that result was the same when they washed with soap. Four types of soap were used, brands that are not all commonly used in the Netherlands: Dove, Dial, Native and Simple Truth.

The mosquitoes turned out to have a strong preference for Dove, as well as Simple Truth. Native seemed to scare off the mosquitoes. On the other hand, they like floral scents very much. Unfortunately, if you cover your body with coconut, this does not guarantee that you will not be bitten: the combination of the smell of people themselves also influences the effect of the soap.
