In the Czech Republic, a drunk truck driver blocked a highway: video

In the Czech Republic, a 53-year-old foreigner almost killed people on the D1 motorway. He got behind the wheel of his truck while drunk and tried to leave the gas station parking lot through the entrance. However, he chose the wrong path and ended up facing oncoming traffic.

The truck blocked all three lanes and crashed into a bump stop. It was only by luck that this crazy maneuver did not lead to a massive accident.

The incident occurred on the morning of September 11 at the 185th kilometer of the highway in the vicinity of Brno in the direction of Prague.

Realizing his mistake, the drunk driver turned around and continued driving. Soon he was detained by the police. The foreigner had difficulty speaking and was not even able to sign the arrest report. A subsequent alcohol test showed 4.1 ppm.

Since it was a case of severe alcohol poisoning, the man was taken to a sobering center. Now he faces a prison sentence under the criminal article “creating a public danger while intoxicated.”

Investigators are asking witnesses to the incident to call 158.
