Emmanuel Macron had gone to the scene of the attack in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine as early as Friday night, where he had denounced a “Characterized Islamist attack”.

From Saturday, several hundred people gathered in Nice or Rennes to denounce a “Act of barbarism” and defend “The values ​​of democracy”.

The services of the Presidency of the Republic indicated late Saturday morning that “Other expressions and announcements are planned after the weekend meetings” by Emmanuel Macron. He will preside over a Defense Council on Sunday, the crisis body which allows him to decide immediately, a source close to the executive said.
