On January 22, 2021, with a sidekick, he tried to get his full cart from the supermarket without paying. He was sentenced on May 4, 2021 to two months suspended prison sentence
The cart was overflowing with food and alcohol bottles. There was nearly 1,300 euros worth of shopping. But the cart never passed the checkout. On January 22, 2021, two men tried to steal its contents in a supermarket in Macau (Gironde).
But a security guard, familiar with the techniques of thieves, observed their merry-go-round as one pushed the cart towards the automatic doors of the entrance, which became a no-purchase exit. The two men fled, abandoning the cart and their car parked in the parking lot.
The merchandise was returned and put back on the shelves. One of the men, the one who had “done the shopping” in the store, was intercepted and confused thanks to quality CCTV footage which also showed him doing scouting. This 32-year-old Georgian had been taken into police custody.
He was tried this Tuesday, May 4, 2021 before the 3rd chamber of the Bordeaux Criminal Court. Detained in the context of another case, he blames the facts on the alcohol on which he was dependent. “It was taken hand in the bag”, underlines the prosecution which requires 2 to 3 months suspended. He got a two-month suspended sentence.
