Kena: Bridge of Spirits still does not reach its planned launch date. Instead of 24 August, the game will not be released until a month later, more specifically 21 September.
Via Twitter, developer Ember Lab explains that it was not easy to have to postpone the game. Nevertheless, it became necessary to ensure that the experience works exactly as it should on all platforms.
– We have made the difficult decision to postpone the launch of Kena until September 21 to polish the game for all platforms. The team has worked extremely hard and we feel that the extra time is critical to ensure that we deliver the best possible experience.
The action adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits was originally unveiled in the summer of 2020. The game introduces us to the young girl Kena, who must use battle and her mysterious powers to bring life back to a lost village.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is console-exclusive for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, suggesting it will be coming to Xbox eventually. The game is also released on PC via Epic Games Store.
