Freiburg: “I am wrapped in longing …” Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger – a poet portrait in songs and texts ++ Reading and concert on October 17, 2021, 4 pm at the Catholic Academy in Freiburg

The Jewish poet Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger died at the age of 18 in 1942 in the Michailowska concentration camp in Romania. 57 poems could be saved. The result was a small volume called “Blossom Harvest”, which tells of the young woman and her lyrically captured thoughts. The musician and actress Ursula Kurz from Dresden dealt artistically with Selma’s poems and set them to music. Her musical-poetic work “I am wrapped in longing …” in memory of the Jewish poet Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger will be presented by the artist Ursula Kurz on Sunday, October 17th at 4 pm in the Catholic Academy Freiburg, Wintererstr. 1, before. Reading and concert will take place on the occasion of the current exhibition “Painting to remember” by Alexander Dettmar.
