With the new Europa-Park Stadium, the overall traffic situation for home games should improve significantly. The new location is very well connected to the local transport system and can be easily reached by bus, tram and Breisgau-S-Bahn.

The same applies to cyclists – there are over 3,700 parking spaces available around the stadium. However, the test match on October 7th showed that there are still some ambiguities in cycling. The city administration would like to take this as an opportunity to show the various routes by bike again.

Not possible:
the approach by bike via the central boulevard between the tram stop and the stadium. This is reserved for pedestrians and may not be used by bicycle. This also means that the stadium cannot be reached from either side of the city via Madisonallee. It is also not possible to cross Madisonallee at Suwonallee.

It is also not possible to drive through the university campus from Madisonallee via Georges-Köhler-Allee. Georges-Köhler-Allee will be closed on match days.

The stadium can be approached by bike from all directions:

From the northeast – Zähringen:
Coming from Engesserstraße, go straight ahead onto the bike path along the Freiburg airfield. At the turning from Madisonallee into Suwonallee you can enter the stadium area directly on the bike path.

From the east – Herdern:
Coming from Kaiserstuhlstrasse, please keep to the right after the Kaiserstuhlbrücke and follow Hermann-Mitsch-Strasse along the Freiburg exhibition center to the Madisonallee intersection. There you turn left into Madisonallee and use the bike path along the Freiburg airfield. Here you can turn right into Suwonallee and take the bicycle path to the stadium area.

From the southeast – city center:
At the crossing Elsässer Straße / Berliner Allee, please drive directly into Elsässer Straße (towards Discounter). Please do not drive any further along Berliner Allee! From Elsässer Strasse, turn right into Falkenbergstrasse in front of the petrol station. When entering Falkenbergstrasse, do not be put off by the barriers for cars – cyclists and pedestrians are allowed to use this path. At the end of Falkenbergstrasse, turn left and then through the underpass of the railway line. Here you follow the street straight through the university campus to the stadium area and turn left onto Achim-Stocker-Straße.

From the southwest – Lehen / Betzenhausen:
Coming from Hofackerstrasse, cross Elsässer Strasse in the Mooswald district into Im Wolfswinkel and take the direct route over the railway line to the stadium area.

From the west – Landwasser:
Coming from Elsässer Straße from the north, please turn left in the Mooswald district into the street Im Wolfswinkel and drive directly over the railway line to the stadium area.

From the north – Hochdorf / Gundelfingen:
Either use the forest path through the Mooswald from the Hochdorf industrial area or drive on the bike path parallel to Markwaldstraße and then right along Granadaallee, before turning onto the bike path along Suwonallee in front of the new foot and cycle bridge.
