Football Association Leela Koura: Hegazy inadvertently fell from the national team list

A source in the Egyptian Football Association revealed a surprise in the list of professionals announced by the technical staff of the Egyptian national team that the name of Ahmed Hegazy, the defender of the Saudi Jeddah Federation, had been inadvertently dropped.

The name of Ahmed Hegazy was absent from the list announced by the Football Association at the beginning, before announcing that the technical staff of the Egyptian team decided to call the player after making sure that he had recovered from the injury.

And the source – who asked not to be named – said in Laila Koura’s statements: “Ahmed Hegazy inadvertently fell from the list that was announced, and the device knows that the player has been medically ready for days.”

Ahmed Hegazy has fully recovered from the injury he sustained in the last African Nations Championship in Cameroon, which Egypt won and ranked first, so that the player is ready to participate in the upcoming matches.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian team, led by new coach Ihab Galal, is preparing for the matches of Guinea and Ethiopia in the qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire on June 5 and 9.
